Ema Tanovic has review paper on neural correlates of intolerance of uncertainty accepted

January 5, 2018

ARC Lab graduate student Ema Tanovic had a review paper on the neural and psychophysiological correlates of intolerance of uncertainty accepted by Clinical Psychology Review.

The paper, written in collaboration with Dylan Gee and Jutta Joormann, examines results from multiple methods and finds that intolerance of uncertainty is associated with heightened reactivity to uncertainty reflected in greater activity of the anterior insula and amygdala, alterations in neural responses to rewards and errors evident in event-related potentials, a mixed pattern of startle responses to uncertain threat, and deficiencies in safety learning indexed by startle and skin conductance responding.

Congratulations, Ema!
