Ema Tanovic has paper on anticipation of uncertain threat accepted

Ema Tanovic, a graduate student in the ARC Lab, had a paper on anticipation of uncertain threat accepted in the International Journal of Psychophysiology. The paper, titled “Anticipating the unknown: The stimulus-preceding negativity is enhanced by uncertain threat,” examined the stimulus-preceding negativity, an ERP component that indexes anticipation, and found that it is enhanced in the face of uncertain relative to certain threat.
